Operating centrally from its base in the West Midlands the company has a UK network of franchisees and is one of the most established and respected in the franchise industry. Servicing business and industry with cleaning and hygiene materials for over 25 years, Chemex is renowned for the quality of its products and its after sales service.

Further Expansion

Chemex is now looking to expand further into Europe particularly in Germany, Holland, Portugal and Spain. We have identified these markets as the most suitable for our European expansion programme. Other countries are also of interest to Chemex and each country will require careful analysis of the opportunities available for potential master franchise licences.

Operating a master licence for a country is not the same as becoming a franchisee of a local established franchise network. There is a big difference in terms of strategy, planning, implementation and of course costs. Our international business is expanding and in 2007 it grew more than 20 per cent. Market leading products of exceptional quality are always popular.

At Chemex we receive a lot of enquires from overseas. Unfortunately most of these are either competitor organisations or individuals with a vague interest in setting up a business in their own country. The type of person we actually seek is a business entrepreneur with the necessary funding in place with which to replicate the Chemex operation in the UK. In essence, a master franchise licence grants the owner the right to market and build a national network based on a proven business model.
